Day 1: Emergency personnel jolted into action by blast

For those firefighters who remained on-scene yesterday afternoon after responding to the initial 3 a.m. alarm, firefighting did indeed feel like a 24-hour job.
"I've had a doughnut for breakfast, a doughnut for lunch and five or six cups of coffee," Danvers fire Chief James Tutko said.
